Welcome to GATHER

A playground to learn to relate differently

What If You Could Relate Differently?

Explore the patterns that shape your relationships and practice new ways of connecting with yourself, your partner, your friends, your family, your coworkers and the world around you.

Relationships are at the center of our lives.

And yet, most of us were never actually taught how to be in relationship

Relationships shape so much of our lives—how connected we feel, how we handle conflict, how we ask for what we need, and how safe we feel being ourselves.

We learned how to communicate.
We learned how to get things done.
We learned how to take care of responsibilities.

But who taught us how to stay connected when things get difficult?

How to set a boundary without guilt?
How to repair after we’ve caused hurt?
How to stop abandoning ourselves to keep the peace?

GATHER is a safe space to learn and practice these relational skills, in community with a tribe on the same journey.

When we hear “relationship healing,” we often think about romantic relationships.

But our relational world is so much bigger.

We are in relationship with our partners, friends, family members, coworkers, communities and ourselves.

The patterns we develop in one relationship can often follow us into another.

Maybe you struggle to say no to your partner—and find yourself doing the same thing with friends or colleagues.

Maybe conflict makes you shut down at home—and difficult conversations at work feel just as uncomfortable.

Maybe you find yourself repeating the same relationship dynamics even though you consciously want something different.

GATHER isn’t a traditional course where you listen to someone talk about relationships and take notes

We practice.

Each month, we’ll explore a different relational theme through experiential exercises, somatic awareness, reflection, conversation and real-life application.

You might learn about boundaries but then actually practice setting one.

You might explore apology and repair but then examine what happens inside you when you’re the person who needs to say, “I hurt you.”

You might learn about emotional regulation but then notice what happens in your body when someone disagrees with you.

Because there is a difference between knowing something intellectually and being able to access it when you’re activated.

What if some of the patterns you experience in relationships aren’t entirely yours?

We all bring stories, beliefs and patterns into our relationships. Some are shaped by our own experiences, while others may be connected to the family systems and histories we come from.

Every month, we’ll explore relationship patterns through an ancestral and systemic lens and look at how these patterns may influence the way we connect, communicate, set boundaries and experience belonging today.

EXPERIENCE A FAMILY CONSTELLATION

Rather than simply talking about your relationship patterns, we’ll explore them experientially through a guided Family Constellation.

Bring a relationship pattern, question or dynamic you’re curious about.

Together, we’ll explore what may be underneath the pattern and what becomes visible when we look at your relationships from a wider systemic perspective:

  • Repeating relationship patterns
  • Family roles and loyalties
  • Ancestral patterns and entanglements
  • Patterns of connection, conflict and disconnection

Come with curiosity. You don’t need to have all the answers.

This is an opportunity to see your relationships—and yourself within them—from a new perspective.

First, we notice the pattern. Then, we begin to practice something new.

  • Boundaries and Self-Advocacy- Learn to recognize your needs and communicate your boundaries without guilt, resentment or overexplaining.
  • Apologizing & Repair-Explore what makes an apology meaningful and practice taking responsibility without defensiveness, shame or self-abandonment.
  • Conflict & Disagreement-Understand your responses to conflict and experiment with staying connected when things become uncomfortable.
  • People-Pleasing & Over giving- Notice where you say yes when you mean no, over-function for others or make other people’s comfort your responsibility.
  • Attachment & Relationship Patterns- Explore the familiar patterns that influence how you connect, pursue, withdraw, protect and seek reassurance.

GATHER is an ongoing space for practicing the skills that shape how we relate—to ourselves, our relationships and the world around us.
